I started this year feeling the quiet pressure to reinvent myself. Every January carries this expectation of renewal, new habits,a cleaner version of who I was before. I wanted to sit with that psychology instead of escaping it. The act of bathing in milk became a metaphor for me ,cleansing, but also overwhelming. At what point does renewal stop being gentle and start becoming forceful? The figure here isn’t celebrating change,it’s negotiating it. Split, stretched and caught between who they were and who they’re expected to become. This work is less about transformation and more about the weight of constantly having to transform.
